Chrome Wrapped is a Chrome extension that turns browsing history available in the current Chrome profile into a private visual recap. This policy explains what user data the extension handles, how it is used, and whether it is stored or shared.

Data the extension accesses

Chrome Wrapped accesses Web history through Chrome’s history permission after the user asks it to generate a report.

The accessed records may include:

• visited URLs and website domains;
• page titles;
• visit dates and times;
• visit metadata provided by the Chrome History API.

Chrome Wrapped does not access personally identifiable information, health information, financial information, authentication information, personal communications, precise location, active-tab activity, keystrokes, mouse movement, scrolling, or the contents of open web pages.

How the data is used

Web history is used only to generate the visual recap requested by the user. The extension calculates:

• page opens, unique pages, visited sites, and active days;
• top sites by opens, unique pages, and estimated browsing time;
• active hours, weekdays, and dates;
• a rule-based browsing archetype derived from timing, variety, and concentration patterns.

The extension does not use browsing history for advertising, profiling outside the report, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to this user-facing feature.

Local processing and storage

All processing happens locally inside the extension on the user’s device.
